My Book

Ulcère de Marjolin: A propos de sept cas à Brazzaville et revue de la littérature (French Edition)

L’ulcère de Marjolin (UM) désigne l’ensemble des tumeurs malignes cutanées développées sur des cicatrices anciennes instables. L’objectif général de cette étude a été de rapporter les cas d’UM au Congo avec une revue de la littérature.

Il s’est agi d’une étude rétrospective menée au CHU de Brazzaville de Janvier 1998 à décembre 2017, soit une période de 20 ans. Les patients hospitalisés pour un cancer cutané, confirmé histologiquement, survenu sur des lésions cutanées évolutives ou cicatricielles ont été inclus. Les variables épidémiologiques, cliniques, histopathologiques et thérapeutiques ont été collectées.

Les résultats de cette étude confirment la rareté et la gravité de l’UM. Elle révèle le retard du diagnostic responsable d’une mortalité élevée. La prise en charge de qualité des brûlures et plaies chroniques, la sensibilisation des patients ainsi que la formation des soignants pourraient contribuer à améliorer le pronostic de cette affection.
